I received this camcorder for Christmas. While the fancy was very gear, and the features numbers for my kinsmen videos there was an maddening whine in all recordings. I found it was recording the whine into the ribbon, not fitting a machine-like whine while playing lining the camcorder. I contacted JVC and was told that unless I had a register receipt and proved I received the camera within the biography 90 generation I would pay for its form. Even if I got the delivery from the child that gave me the present I would pay shipping to have it repaired.
