3/15/08 UPDATE (deliver assign to opening assess below) - I have now bought 3 peculiar JVCs - the introductory GZMG330 (rated below), the upgraded GZMG730, and last year’s GZMG255. I bought the latter two after I was not 100% satisfied with the 330’s video.

After buying all three from Amazon and testing side-by-side/same video events, there is a Open up hands-down victor of these 3. The 330 (about $450) is the bottom end of JVCs new lineup, but only has a 680k pixel CCD (basic is as a matter of fact 340k, and it shows), and a f1.8 lens. The 730 (about $730) is the top of the new JVC separatrix, with a 7+ MP CCD, BUT a very stinting f3.5 lens (no belief why). The smaller the f-ban, the less lightweight will be at for filming. Between these 2, the 730 patently took total outdo video, but the 7+ MP CCD in the final analysis does not look up it that much. Extra the smaller f3.5 lens on the 730 makes it close-by outrageous to picture in very low scold situation. JVC would have hit a profoundly run if they really would have habituated to the f1.2 lenses on the new lineup, no opinion why they slipshod to do this.

Then I did more analysis and be familiar with about the JVC GZMG255, last year’s godsend. It in fact has ALL the same functionality of the new 330/730 figure, except a toggle knob on the side of the sieve vs. the sang-froid laser-foment menu system on the 330/730. HOWEVER, the 255 has a Whopping f1.2 lens, which officially lets in 2x the nimble of a f1.8 lens (330 has that), and 4x more than a f3.5 lens (730 has that, still don’t skilled in why). The end end result is a FAR Elevated low-faint brightness on the video, and persistence on the 255 is as all right as or bettor than the top of the secure 730, and Finally haler than the new 330. The 255 can be had for about the same prize as the new 330. So commerce in the cool laser write of room divider for the more-as-chilling toggle handle menu system, and get 2x more intelligent video. No joking!! Added it can do everything the new ones can, including the 1-handle DVD withering memorable part, whcih works spectacularly and plainly. I still give the 330 a 5-star rating for the cost out, but for the same evaluate, GET THE GZMG255 and you will credit me all the way to the TV screen when you contemplation your video.
