Residents pitch ideas for new TV station
EXETER — Emerging directors, producers, set designers and stars convened at the Exeter TV Entry 98 Open House on Saturday to take a tour of the studio and understand control room and to pitch ideas of their own for Exeter's new communal access channel.
"This is a great opportunity for people in the electorate to create programming for the community," said Station Coordinator Doug York. "We will specify classes to learn more about filming and production and it's all for free. This will demand a network for people in the local community to be involved and have a chat on what to create, what they want to see."
The station headquarters located at the Exeter Great in extent School has all the capabilities of running a professional television program. A full show can be run from the curb room, with three cameras with a lighting grid.
"Anyone who wants to learn how to run a camera, modify or direct, this is an opportunity for people to crew for a show," York said. "We will get a roster of populace who want to be involved in production and we will get you trained up in film producing."
