This camera is still growing, despite recieving regular use (at least 8 times a week)for the last 9 months. My 2 previous mini DVD camcorders did not diet nearly as well. My only complaint is that you have to switch from movie making mode to playback form to finalize the discs.

A: You didn't say what under the weather of DVD you used (-R, +RW etc) - are you sure it needs finalising? The amount of span shouldn't matter.

A: Do you contemplate to edit your movies from either camcorder? If yes, I recommend neither. DVD camcorders are an editing tribulation. If no, then feature-wise they are very similar.
